SEA WORLD, RESORT WORLD SENTOSA

I asked if I could go to Resort World Sentosa to buy my Hard Rock badges for my collection. My mom's friend all agreed so we headed to RWS and since we were there, a friend suggested we go check out the Sea World as well since the last time we came to Singapore was 5 years ago. I wouldn't say no to exploring so here I am writing to you about my 'sharky' experience there!

A mandatory photo in front of Universal Studios world globe!

I started collecting Hard Rock badges every where I travel since Bali back in 2013 so I had to make a trip to Hard Rock Cafe first before anything! I bought a badge that symbolizes Singapore for about SGD19.

It was a nice weather so we took lots of photos before entering Sea World hahaha.

The first thing that caught my eyes and refused to leave was sharks!

It wasn't my first time seeing sharks so close but I couldn't remember how they really look like as the last time I went to an aquarium was 12 years old in Singapore for a school graduation trip.

I spent 30 minutes or more just sitting and watching the sharks coming to me and moving away. Their smooth silver skin is sooooo beautiful, their round eyes was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

This creature, human beings, is called a shark. They are one of the marine animals I love most. We, as a human, need to understand the fact that killing a beautiful creature just for the fins to fill your hungry and expensive stomach isn't contributing much to the world. In fact, you're actually destroying the world by 'helping' to make sharks slowly extinct and then future generations won't know what shark is in real life.

Many people see sharks as a killer, a murderer probably thanks to Jaws or whatever that is trying to destroy the image of them.

Sharks are probably like any one of us. They kill or injures human because they are protecting themselves. Think about it will you? You as a human, when you face trouble, the first instinct is to protect yourself, right? Same goes to the sharks. I've seen people being able to get along well with sharks and even swam with them. It just proves that they're not harmful to us. They're like us.

All I can do is to help to stop consumers to eat shark fins by words. I hope people ban shark fin soup from restaurants during wedding dinner or a function. Even though you may not be using authentic shark fins, just the name 'shark fin soup' annoys me because it proves no one is willing to take action to stop killing sharks for fins from happening.

For example, you say 'Oh, I had shark fin soup last night and it was delicious.' People who never tried them probably want to have a taste of it, then they tried and pass on telling it to another person. The desire of human for good food might be the reason that kill sharks. Just a little name change can help even if it just something small.

I hope more people will start realizing the problem we're facing here and help to save sharks. I want to be able to see sharks for the rest of my life.

Okay enough with my beloved sharks. Moving on, we went in the tunnel to another hall.

Cute sleeping sharks that have a       beautiful stone-like skin.

And then, more sharksssssss! The tunnel we went in was the 'shark tunnel' as I call it and above me was nothing else but sharks and water.

Really moving on. Promise there's no more sharks.

After we passed through the tunnel, we listened to the explaination of corals, what they feed, and how do they grow. The colourful corals were so beautiful and adorable as they are tiny in a small aquarium!

I couldn't take my eyes of the jellyfishes as the hall was dark and all the spotlight went to the jellyfishes! My iPhone did a pretty good job capturing these amazing jell-o-fishy!

So detailed! I spent around 15 minutes just observing their movements and how wonderful they look. I'm always amazed by how beautiful Mother nature can be and such a beautiful creature that God created.

My favourite fish aquarium there! It was so colourful but sadly the lighting is pretty bad. That's Dory and Nemo over there! Hi~!

We ended our tour after arriving at the centre stage where a super huge (엄청 커!!) aquarium is located. They do underwater performance there at certain times. Since we were planning to head over to Orchard Road, we couldn't watch the performance.

That's the end of what I have to say about my experience at the Sea World! There were many more fishes but it just didn't catch my attention as much as the sharks and the jellyfishes. I didn't want to post the picture of the eel because it looks like a monster! It's hideous! It's yellow and it looks fake from far, but when you go closer to have a look and it moves, prepare for a heart attack. It took me some time to see that was the moray eel. I feel scared and got goosebumps just by thinking of it. Uh.

Nope. I lied. I took a picture of it because I had to prove what hideous means. This is the 'monster' moray eels! I'm getting goosebumps just seeing this!

Here. Enjoy the description about the monsters.
