FIRST WEEK
So this coming Monday marks the first week of my sister and I alone in Seoul. As a teenager who hates camping, I never really left my family for more than 5 days. This is definitely a challenge, I would say, having to survive just the two of us in a foreign country. I made it the first week itself! Congratulations to myself! HAHAHA I never really thought I would make it... I actually called my mom on the first day alone to send me back to Malaysia because I'm not used to being alone. I'm surely enjoying it now!
On Tuesday after class, I went to a nearby restaurant with my sister to have our lunch. Everything in Apgujeong seems expensive, but not in shops in the alleys! The dwenjang jiggae I had was ₩6,000. It was really cold that day so I ate the whole bowl of jiggae lol. I'm good at spicy food HAHAHA.
On Wednesday after class and grocery shopping, we went to Gangnam Station underground shopping mall to buy some sweaters and warm pajamas. Everything is surprisingly cheap there! I would call it a ₩5,000-₩10,000 heaven. Anything more than that, think twice and walk to another shop. I bought this fluffy cow pants for ₩5,000 only to find that there's a shop selling at ₩3,900! Should've known better before buying!
We had dinner at 4.30pm just so I could come back and watch MAMA2014! I was enjoying the red carpet until the website crashed right before the ceremony starts. I was on Twitter the whole time and got live updates which were pretty cool! YG Family killed it on stage! But Mino Asian Music Awards though HAHAHAHAHA! Mino collaborated with so many artists at MAMA2014! Masta Wu, Dok2 and Bobby killed the opening stage! Hands down! YG Family never fails to impress!
I was actually hoping for a Taeyang x Ailee collab but it didn't happen... I hope Taeyang keeps his promise to Ailee and have a duet soon! I'm so excited for 2 best vocals to collab!
It snowed on Tuesday night! The roads and cars were covered in snow! It was so beautiful to see everything covered in white! Can't wait for thicker snow soon!
While on the way to do some groceries shopping, we were greeted by snow and it was truly a beautiful sight.
I went to the airport on Thursday afternoon with my parents permission to greet Double B and WINNER back from Hong Kong! Apparently I followed the Exo fan group and went to the other gate instead of waiting for Double B and WINNER at Gate E. They left a minute before a really kind and friendly Canadian exo fan told me they JUST left from Gate E. The airport experience was annoying but fun. What people says turns out to be the truth. What happen to this world? Aren't we all sharing the same love for music and idols? Why couldn't you just be nice and not rude? What happen to this society man.
I'll definitely go again soon to see iKON and I'll follow my own instinct now. No more talking to rude people. I've literally had enough of rudeness. What did they ever learn in school, I wonder. So ashamed to be the same race as you rude people. But thankfully, I'm from Malaysia.
Anyway, I got my copy of High Cut! Bobby and B.I was so cool in the photo. I look forward to iKON's debut and cooler pictures soon!
After the hell of a run running towards Exo with other Exo fans, I was extremely tired. I wonder how the fansite admins can do this every time with super heavy and big DSLR camera? I'm a noob in airport greeting idols lol. It was clearly my first time on Thursday...
Anyway, since we pass through Itaewon to go home, I thought I'd stop by Itaewon since people had been telling me how fun Itaewon is. Turns out, other than bars and coffee shops and bars again, there was nothing fun at night lol. At least, to a teenage Asian girl.
But we stumbled across this shop and decided to go in since my sister wanted BBQ and it was so cold outside. We ordered Samgyeopsal for 2 persons and costed us ₩11,000 per 180g each. I texted my mom and she said the price was reasonable so we went on and ordered it.
Other side dishes were ordinary, but this crab was what caught my eyes. Sadly for me, I'm allergic to crabs to I didn't had a chance to savour this. It looked really delicious!
(It's 2:35 in the morning, Saturday now)
I was so tired from a short trip to Myeongdong to get some more extra warm heat tech from Uniqlo. I needed some face mask so I proceeded to Nature Republic. Little did I know, I had spent ₩135,000 for 60 pieces of snail mask. I thought all mask price was the same lol. Turns out, my mom said that snail masks are one of the most expensive mask because it's rich in collagen. I was so lost of words... Still am. My mom didn't scold me cuz she said 1 piece cost RM20 in Malaysia and I only got it for RM7. I still feel bad for using her money... Bye bye my ticket to Taeyang's concert! I just spent you on some snail mask sheet! :(
It's Saturday and I'm going on a food hunt later in the afternoon after I wake up yay! Stay tuned if you wanna see where I'm going! Something special for the VIPs, perhaps?
