DOYLES ON THE BEACH @ WATSONS BAY

We went to Watsons Bay as I wanted to try Doyles that both my uncle & mom recommended. We met up at noon in Circular Quay and took the ferry to Watsons Bay. Doyles' pretty easy to spot as you can see it right in front of you the moment you get down from the ferry at Watson Bay's wharf.

We stood in the 'No Reservation' line as we didn't expect the crowd. I remember my mom said that it was famous and they have really good fish & chips, but we didn't know that reservation was needed. We thought it was going to be a long wait, but it turns out not! Even if we had to wait for hours, it was worth it. You'll know why the moment you see the food. It's so mouthwatering!

I cried internally (sorta) when I took the menu since everything was about $20 each. We ordered the House Smoked Salmon ($20.50=~RM62.30) as our Entree, and the Tweed Head Sand Whiting Fillets Fish & Chips ($42.50=~RM128.70).

I don't think I have to say anything more. Just by looking at the food itself you can tell how good it is. The fish fillets were so good! The fish fillets have less flour so you can taste a lot of meat and it melts in your mouth, literally. That's how fresh it is. The smoked salmon is the best one I've ever had yet.

Look at my selfie above. The building behind me was another Doyles. That was the Doyles my uncle was talking about... Not the one I just talked about above. I kinda knew it was weird because my uncle & mom would never ask me to go to expensive food while traveling. So in case you are about to make a mistake, I'm telling you this. There's TWO Doyles! One is the fancy one opposite the wharf and the other is the simple takeaway Doyles just beside the wharf! The fancy one is called Doyles on the Beach, the takeaway one is called Doyles on the Wharf.

But nevertheless, go and try the fancy Doyles if you can. It's worth every dollars you spend. 'The fish is so fresh it taste like heaven.' says Veyana. The fancy Doyles is also a fantastic place to have dinner. The view is so beautiful! I facetimed with daddy to show him the view and he agreed that it was breathtaking too. I also showed daddy the food we ordered. He said it looks really good. So worth the dollars, really.
