KONNICHIWA TOKYO

Greetings from Japan! I'm currently in Japan for a vacation with my family!

I always have a problem with air sickness, especially during the taking off and landing despite the fact that I'm a frequent flyer.

Cardigan and tank top from H&M// Jeggings from Uniqlo// Backpack from Korea// Sling bag from Reebok

My airport outfit! I sent this picture to my friend and they said I look like ahma 'grandmother'. HAHAHA kinda true though. I like to bun my hair up for medium/long haul flight as my hair loves to disturb me while I try to sleep. Jeggings is also a must to plane rides than jeans because sometimes jeans can make you feel very uncomfortable!

After 7 sleepless hours, we finally landed in Narita International Airport!

After getting our luggage and immigration, we followed the N'EX signboard and headed downstairs to get our tickets for the express train ride to Ikebukuro. The queue for the tickets was loooooong so we decided to buy it from the machine. It was pretty confusing at first, but you'll soon figure it out in no time! They have it in English so you don't have to worry about anything!

Me with the scenery while riding on N'EX to Ikebukuro. The whole journey took about 1.5 hours but time flies! The seat's comfortable, they serve yummy snacks, and of course, you get to see the beautiful scenery! What else more could I ask for? :)

Narita in kanji is written as 成田 and 田 means 'paddy field' in mandarin so I guess that's why we saw so many paddy fields! It was beautiful!

Train tracks and paddy fields!

En route to Ikebukuro terminal!

After we arrived and checked in at our guesthouse, we went to 松屋, not squirrel's house lol, but a sort of Japanese fast food restaurant. Basically you'll have to order it from a machine, pay there, get your meal tickets and pass it to the waiter/waitress there and they'll prepare your meal. Why called fast food? Because they basically serve it to you in less than 5 minutes!

The portion of my lunch was 2 times bigger than what I can usually eat. But I guessed I was super hungry at that time because I refused to eat the airplane's breakfast, the fried egg. It's hard and cold, sorry not sorry.

We went to Shinjuku after lunch and came across a small shop at the Shinjuku station east exit to Sunshine city. It's crepes! The shop is called Korot Crepes! I've always wanted to try crepes and I finally got a taste of it!

After buying a few crepes, my mom brought us to Kinokuniya book store to shop for magazines. In Japan, some magazines comes with really cute and pretty bags, so if you happen to be in Japan, go do magazine shopping at Kinokuniya or any other book stores! If you're lucky enough, you might find yourself a few designer pieces! I got Jill Struat's the last time and LeSportsac this time!

How to get there:

JR Shinjuku East Exit. It's about 3-5 minutes walk.

My mom said this street is a famous street. I'm guessing the one in Tokyo station?

We were all exhausted from the plane rides, train rides and walking in a day so we decided to drop by a family mart to buy a few snacks and have our dinner back in our guesthouse. That green tea up there is so tasty and not very sweet! I'm also in love with the round onigiri! It was a small food heaven!

          Outside Shinjuku station.

Denim Jacket, Grey dress, Printed sneakers all from H&M// Bag from Bangkok

I have to sleep now lol. It's 8.48pm here in Japan and we'll have to wake up at 5 tomorrow and leave for Hakone. Till tomorrow!
