SUSHI IN JAPAN

I'm finally back from Japan! I'm still trying to get used to the humid weather once again. Oh.

Everyone needs to have sushi while in Japan! I don't know if it's just me, or there wasn't many sushi bars in Japan.

My mom and I didn't put sushi eating in our itinerary. Luckily, we came across one while we were looking around on a street near the Ueno station.

Ohgi Sushi!

Sushi ingredients!

Prices for different coloured plates!

The workers were very friendly! There were menu in mandarin and english so we don't have to worry about the language problems!

Mr. Itamae! HAHAHA I was taking a picture of Mr. Itamae making the sushi and suddenly he just posed for me! HAHA I love this place!

I chatted a little with them in Japanese and luckily they seem to understand what I was saying! We kept ordering and every sushi that he served to us was hand made and it's delicious!

My favourite Tamago sushi!

As you can see, it's just a small little sushi bar. Most of the restaurants in Japan are small like this as well, so most people would line up outside to wait for their turn to eat. We had our late lunch at about 3pm local time, so that explains why they aren't any people eating.

Out of curiosity, I ordered this wasabi sushi. The chef looked at me like I'm mad or something, but I didn't know why until I really tasted it. My parents, my sister and I ate one each together, and our reaction were basically the same, except for my dad. HAHAHA It was so refreshing and I'm going to use the word 'spicy'. The chef looked at us and laughed. Our face literally turned red. lmao

I had lots of fun eating sushi there!

On the last day in Tokyo, we were in Tokyo station Ichibangai shopping for souvenirs. We came across another one and the one I've been looking forward to a long time, the standing sushi bar! I always wanted to experience eating sushi while standing but my mom and I couldn't find one decent one from the web.

I had to go in since I saw one!

Took a picture while waiting for my sushi to be made! Mr. Itamae making le sushi behind.

Tuna Sushi

Instead of plates, they used banana leaf. The sushi's are all hand wrap and one sushi cost only 75yen. There are also some other sushi that cost different prices like 100yen, 200 yen and 300 yen.

Octopus sushi! You can chose to eat raw or have them smoked it a little! This octopus is sushi a little salty though.

Unagi Sushi

Prawn Mentai Sushi

I really don't know the name of this sushi. I can't eat raw so I didn't taste this.

Raw salmon Sushi

Smoked salmon sushi! This is delicious! Half cooked and half raw!

Mentai sushi

I always enjoy eating sushi as it has a variety of choices and I love to eat fish. Having sushi in Japan had been one great experience for me especially being able to talk to itamae and see how sushi was made!

Gochisosamadeshita!
